Shigesato Itoi

Shigesato Itoi is the main creator of the Mother Series. This is the person who came up with the idea, then did massive work on the game. He appears in Mother 1 giving a message to Ninten. There is a mountain named after him in Mother 1. It is called Mt. Itoi. He is one of the few creators that actually puts himself in games.

This is a question asked by many: "Will the Mother Series continue?" The answer is no. This series will not continue. He has also stated that Mother 1 + 2 and Mother 3 will not be translated. He has no plans on doing it due to Earthbound not selling well internationally, but selling well in Japan. The other reasons are graphic changes. Everyone wants this on one cartridge for the DS, but the graphics would be too much. Having to increase Famicom, SNES, and GBA graphics takes a long time, and could quite possibly be too much for one chip to hold, due to the major byte size of the images. A chip holds massive amounts of bytes, but there is no current way to use that much data without an extension.
